The company breeds larvae from the eggs of the snakehead, common carp, carp and silver carp using incubators.
Entrepreneur Uktam Shamyradov leased a lake with an area of 5 hectares for fish farming in A.Novai village of S.A. Niyazov etrap in Turkmenistan’s northern velayat of Dashoguz, Daşoguz Habarlary newspaper reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the deep-water lake is conditionally divided into eight separate sectors using special fences. The farm also includes five modern machinery for artificial incubation of eggs.
“With the help of incubators, we breed larvae from the eggs of the snakehead, common carp, carp and silver carp. From these larvae, we subsequently receive about 15-20 million juvenile fishes per year,” said Uktam Shamyradov.
The juvenile fishes are then sold to private entrepreneurs at an agreed price. The number of the juvenile fishes necessary for breeding remains in the reservoirs, the rest is released into the Sarykamysh and Aybovur lakes, controlled by the Ak Durna IE under the leadership of Shamyradov.
Ak Durna enterprise presently breeds 10 tons of fry and 5-6 tons of adult fishes annually in its reservoirs.
