President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Astana on Tuesday for a working visit to attend the second Central Asia–China summit, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
At Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, the Turkmen leader was welcomed by Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, officials from the host country, and members of the Turkmen delegation.
Turkmenistan’s participation in the summit underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening dialogue within the Central Asia–China format.
The event will bring together the heads of state from the region and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Discussions will focus on expanding multilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas, as well as on key regional and international issues. Joint documents are expected to be adopted following the summit.
