Turkmenistan Participates in CIS Council of Heads of Government Meeting

Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held on June 5 at the Kohi Somon Government Residence in Dushanbe. The Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tajikistan.

In his address at the meeting, the Turkmen representative conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, expressing gratitude to the Government of Tajikistan and the CIS Executive Committee for the high level of organization.

Geldimyradov emphasized the strategic importance of economic cooperation within the CIS and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s consistent position on strengthening multilateral collaboration based on mutual respect, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial partnership.

Later the same day, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the heads of government of CIS member states, during which participants discussed expanding trade, economic and humanitarian ties, as well as strengthening mutual trust within the Commonwealth framework.
