President of Turkmenistan Holds Telephone Conversation with Iranian President

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation Thursday with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, according to official Turkmen media.

The leaders exchanged warm Eid al-Adha greetings, extending best wishes to the peoples of both nations and expressing hope that prayers and sacrifices offered during the holiday would be accepted.

President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to strengthening friendly and multifaceted relations with Turkmenistan. He also conveyed warm regards and best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Iranian president praised Turkmenistan’s peace-oriented foreign policy and welcomed the UN General Assembly’s designation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, an initiative proposed by Turkmenistan.

The presidents noted the steady development of political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries and reaffirmed their readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

At the conclusion of the call, both leaders wished each other good health, happiness, and success in public service, and extended wishes of peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of Turkmenistan and Iran.
