President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Moscow on May 9 to participate in events marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, according to Izvestia news agency.
Russian media reports indicate that leaders from 27 countries are set to attend the ceremonies. Presidents from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan have already arrived, along with heads of state from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, including the leaders of China, India, Brazil, Cuba, Serbia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia.
A Turkmenistan Honor Guard unit will also participate in the Victory Day parade, scheduled for May 9, 2025, in Moscow.
Last year, Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the 79th Victory Day celebrations as an honorary guest.
