President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, following the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
“The significant contributions of Pope Francis in fostering goodwill among religions and strengthening peace, harmony, and unity around the world will forever remain in the memory of all nations,” – the head of state emphasized in his message.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his sincere sympathy and words of support to the Catholic community at this difficult time.
Pope Francis was born on December 17, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a family of Italian immigrants. He made history in 2013 as the first Jesuit pope and the first pontiff from the Americas.
