President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during his official visit to Japan, met with Hayashi Nobumitsu, Chairman of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
According to Turkmenistan's official media, the head of JBIC emphasized the interest of Japanese business circles and financial institutions in strengthening cooperation with Turkmenistan.
The Chairman of JBIC highly appreciated Turkmenistan's ongoing socio-economic reforms and expressed Japan’s commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation.
Hayashi Nobumitsu thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his time and congratulated him on Turkmenistan’s National Day at EXPO 2025 in Japan, calling it a landmark event and one of the first at the global exhibition.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s development strategy focuses on adopting advanced, environmentally friendly technologies and establishing high-tech industries. In this context, the importance of joint projects with Japanese companies aimed at innovating key sectors was highlighted.
President Berdimuhamedov concluded the meeting by expressing confidence in the further deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation and wished Hayashi success in his professional endeavors.
