The total balance of loans extended by financial institutions in Turkmenistan to businesses, organizations, and individuals in the national currency reached 90 billion 079.01 million manats as of March 1, 2024, up from 88 billion 716.42 million manats as of March 1, 2024, as reported by the electronic journal Bank habarlary published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
The balance of loans allocated to state institutions and enterprises totaled 49 billion 550 million manats on March 1, 2025. The total balance of loans reached 54 billion 457 million manats on March 1, 2024.
Data shows that the total balance of loans provided to the private sector in the national currency amounted to 14 billion 877 million manats as of March 1, 2025, compared to 12 billion 356 million manats on March 1, 2024.
The total balance of loans extended to individuals and entrepreneurs operating without legal entities during the reporting period amounted to 25 billion 651 million manats. The total balance of these loans stood at 21 billion 903 million manats on March 1, 2024.
