President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Samarkand during his working visit. The talks took place on the sidelines of the first Central Asia – European Union summit, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The two leaders emphasized the high level of trust and mutual support in their bilateral relations. They discussed ongoing cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, electricity, the oil and gas industry, and chemical production.
They also focused on developing transport and energy corridors, strengthening interregional cooperation, and working together to ensure sustainable development and stability in Central Asia.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders expressed confidence that the summit would create new opportunities to expand cooperation between regional countries and the European Union.
