President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov hosted Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday in Ashgabat, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed how to strengthen friendly ties and expand cooperation in various fields, particularly in the transport and energy sectors.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Irakli Kobakhidze noted the positive dynamics in their bilateral political and economic relations and emphasized the importance of developing the Middle Corridor.
Kobakhidze highlighted Turkmenistan's contributions to maintaining peace in Central Asia and shared details about the peaceful policies pursued by the Georgian government.
Later, an expanded meeting took place, attended by high-ranking representatives from both Turkmenistan and Georgia. Following the negotiations, they signed several important agreements: a Cooperation Program between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Georgia for 2025-2026, an Agreement on Customs Cooperation, an Agreement on Plant Protection, and a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of sports.
