Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Visits Site of International Oncology Center in Ashgabat

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, visited the construction site of the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center in northern Ashgabat. The facility, set to enhance the nation's healthcare system, will feature modern medical technology and a capacity of 500 beds, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of equipping the center with advanced materials that meet international standards. He reviewed architectural plans and equipment specifications, highlighting the need for specialized diagnostic and treatment departments.

The National Leader stressed the necessity of establishing a unified department for intelligent data analysis within the center, aimed at improving medical services and ensuring patient safety. He called for the recruitment of young professionals skilled in digital technologies and foreign languages.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also underscored the importance of collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure safety standards in healthcare. He reassured that ongoing reforms in Turkmenistan’s healthcare sector focus on enhancing public health, increasing life expectancy, and modernizing health facilities.

The construction of the oncology center is part of the broader State Program Saglyk, aimed at integrating advanced technologies and international best practices into Turkmenistan's healthcare system.
