Turkmenistan will host an international business forum on November 27celebrating the 30-year partnership between the country and Visa, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Economic and Financial Affairs, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, announced during an extended Cabinet meeting on Friday.
Participants at the forum will discuss the strategic partnership with Visa and advancements in the global payment system’s technology, according to official Turkmen media.
In his report, Geldimyradov provided an update on the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2021-2025 and highlighted steps to enhance cooperation with international partners in this field.
The Deputy Prime Minister also congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 31st anniversary of the manat and expressed gratitude for his congratulatory message to banking professionals and the public.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of international cooperation in developing the country’s digital economy. He approved the forum and instructed officials to ensure the event is organized at a high standard.
The Cabinet meeting also covered various other issues related to national development.
