Turkmen Pilgrims to Board 10 Special Flights to Saudi Arabia
Türkmenhowaýollary, the national airline of Turkmenistan, plans to operate ten special flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back during the pilgrimage season of 2024.
As reported by Türkmenhowaýollary agency on Friday, these flights will transport 2,890 pilgrims.
The agency will carry out the special flights from June 1 to July 9, 2024.
The trip of Turkmen citizens to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage is in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
As per the report, Türkmenhowaýollary agency of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan has been instructed to organize a special flight using its own funds for the transportation of an official group of 289 Turkmen pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back.
