Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission to Sign Number of Documents in Vienna

The 12th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission and a business meeting within its framework, during which joint documents will be signed, will take place on June 4-5 of this current year in Vienna, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Atdayev said during the regular online government meeting on Saturday.

The agenda of the meeting will include issues of further development of interstate relations in various spheres, such as innovative technologies in industry, energy, renewable energy sources, environmental projects, waste management, construction, transport infrastructure, services, healthcare, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture and processing of agricultural products.

Within the framework of the business meeting, presentations by Austrian equipment manufacturing companies will be held, as well as prospects for increasing cooperation in various fields and identifying new areas of mutually beneficial partnership will be discussed.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of further improving the ongoing work to strengthen the economic power of the country, and activating trade and economic ties with the developed countries of the world. Turkmen President highlighted the need to expand the range of cooperation with foreign countries, and gave the deputy prime minister a number of specific instructions.

At the online government meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov also reported on the work to organize a meeting between the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Japan within the framework of the upcoming Central Asia+Japan Summit in Astana.
