Turkmen President States Importance of Modernizing Country’s Commodity Exchange

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday emphasized the importance of modernizing the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), the main entity regulating export and import operations, the country’s official media reports.
At the meeting, Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, reported on the activities of the SCRMET aimed at developing foreign economic relations, organization of work in accordance with the requirements of market relations and introduction of modern technologies.
Highlighting the role of the SCRMET in boosting of foreign trade operations, increase of export volumes, the Head of State addressed a number of specific assignments to the Vice-Premier for further development of exchange trade and expansion of its scales.
The cabinet meeting reviewed drafts of a number of documents and discussed priority issues of state activities.
