An extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), with the participation of top management and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Turkmenistan, was held via video conference on March 6, 2024, as reported by Turkmenistan’s CCI on Thursday.
During the discussion, a proposal was put forward to admit the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, which currently has a status of the observer member, as a full member of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry. According to the report, all participants in the online meeting unanimously supported this proposal.
The online meeting also saw the participation of representatives of the member countries of the union.
The video conference discussed the prospects for strengthening multilateral business relations between chambers of commerce and industry of Turkic states, improving and taking to a new level the relations between business entities.
The Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye as full members and serves as a convenient international platform for the development of cooperation between Turkic states. Turkmenistan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus are observer members of this union.
