The postal communication company Türkmenpoçta, in collaboration with Demirýollary OJSC, has introduced an automated system for managing cargo transportation, as reported by the Transport and Communications Agency of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Monday.
The new system allows for online calculation of cargo transportation costs, processing necessary documents, and selecting the type of wagons based on the nature of the cargo.
According to the announcement, the system also includes the capability to track the movement of freight wagons across the territory of Turkmenistan.
With the help of automation, cargo carriers can now handle documentation and receive invoices online.
The system enables a quick calculation of transportation costs according to tariffs for private enterprises and budget organizations. It also facilitates local, import, export, and transit railway transport for various goods, ranging from food products to construction materials.
