Turkmen Exchange: Jan 02-06 Export Trades Soar to $51.3 Million

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) reported a substantial uptick in export transactions for the week of January 2-6, totaling an impressive $51.3 million, according to an announcement made on Monday.

Foreign entrepreneurs, including those from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Afghanistan, and Malta, engaged in transactions acquiring aviation kerosene, polypropylene, and lighting kerosene produced by the Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern. Meanwhile, representatives from British business circles secured transactions for urea produced by Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern.

The robust trade extended to the domestic market as well, with Turkmen business representatives purchasing polypropylene, oil road bitumen, handmade carpets, cotton yarn, and raw silk, amounting to a total of over 14.7 million manats.

Last week, the State Commodity Exchange and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered 21 deals.

In a dynamic showcase of economic vitality, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) witnessed a remarkable surge in December, with export transactions surpassing $155 million.
