EBRD confirmed its readiness to provide further assistance to the Turkmen side in accordance with the bank’s Turkmenistan Country Strategy for 2019-2024.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Wednesday held online meeting with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by the Head of the EBRD Representative Office in Ashgabat Fatih Turkmenoglu.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s press release, the meeting participants underlined the intensification of cooperation in a wide range of areas, including the projects in the area of energy, transport, small and medium sized business development taking into account the environmental component. The sides stressed the necessity of adjusting the joint activities to the new realities and threats, including the global pandemic.
According to the statement, EBRD confirmed its readiness to provide further assistance to the Turkmen side in accordance with the bank’s Turkmenistan Country Strategy for 2019-2024.
The parties also exchanged views on the expansion of cooperation and considered the opportunities for collaboration in all areas of mutual interest.
From the Turkmen side, the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Central Bank of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting.
