The online meeting of co-chairmen of Turkmen – Japanese Committee for economic cooperation took place on Thursday. The sides discussed expansion of interstate relations.
The meeting participants noted the significance of systematic and constructive high-level dialogue between Turkmenistan and Japan.
The co-chairmen discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements, particularly the execution of joint projects in petrochemical and transport spheres.
The participants outlined such spheres as transport, power energy, agriculture, health-care, communications, tourism and ecology as perspective for consolidation of efforts and interests.
The co-chairmen of the Committee – the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Managing Executive Officer, President of Machinery Company at Itochu Corporation Hiroyuki Tsubai attended the meeting.
The officials also underlined the need to intensify the work on practical implementation of the Roadmap signed in Tokyo in October 2019.
