In Balkan province is continuing to modernize the gas compressor station "Korpedje". This industrial complex, with a capacity of 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year, was commissioned in 2005. It is equipped with gas turbine units "MAN Diesel & Turbo" (Germany), the overhaul of which is carried out by the Russian company "KER-Holding" (Republic of Tatarstan) under a contract with the State concern "Türkmennebit".

The station is being upgraded in stages. Previously, there was a major overhaul of the four power turbines and three gas generators. Commissioning tests of another power turbine, as well as a gas generator, are currently underway.

In addition, “KER-Holding” won an international tender for the provision of services for the overhaul of 11 gas turbine engines of the NK-12ST and NK-14ST brands, which was conducted by the State concern "Türkmengaz". The corresponding contract was signed in October last year.

This gas turbine equipment, operated at a number of gas compressor stations of the concern, is produced by the Russian machine-building company “PJSC “Kuznetsov”, which is part of the United Engine Corporation.

It should also be noted that in March, partners from Tatarstan sent one NK-12ST gas turbine engine to Turkmenistan, which was overhauled on a free-of-charge basis in excess of the contract.
