President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the accelerated transition to market economy will ensure the prosperous life of the people.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday stressed the importance of the country's transition to market economy and instructed to select for the industries competent leaders capable of managing in accordance with modern requirements.
The Turkmen President outlined the transition of the economy to market relations, in line with the adopted programs, among the priority tasks. President Berdimuhamedov said the accelerated transition to market economy will ensure the prosperous life of the people, noting the whole world operates this way, the country’s official media reports.
“If some of you believe that certain industries will not be able to function in market relations, then this opinion is wrong,” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, instructing to select for the industries young, competent, motivated leaders who will be able to work and manage in accordance with modern requirements.
Focusing on the tasks outlined in the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025, the Head of State stressed that they require a lot of work.
To this end, the Turkmen Leader placed special emphasis on giving additional impetus to the implementation of the state programs on import substitution and increasing the volume of export-oriented products. The Head of State said the further development of the economy should continue through diversification, expansion of the range and export routes of goods produced in the country by effectively utilizing the available potential in different industries.
The Turkmen Leader also said the country continues to pursue its policy of developing the private sector and the attraction of entrepreneurs in the implementation of economic reforms.
