Polymer products are used daily in the household and in the agro-industrial complex, trade and services sectors.
More than 200 private enterprises – members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) – are currently engaged in the production of different polymer products, the UIET reported on Tuesday.
The raw materials for these enterprises are mainly supplied from gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Balkan velayat’s Kiyanly, according to the report. The complex is designed to process 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.
Every year, Turkmen businesses produce around 250 thousand tons of polymer products, including reusable and disposable tableware, containers and bags for transporting and storing industrial products, pipes, children's toys, furniture and accessories, stationery, and building materials.
