President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Thursday signed a Resolution authorizing the Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) Agency to conclude a sales contract with the French company Airbus S.A.S., TDH news agency reports.
According to the document, the Agency will purchase two A330-200 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft.
The freighters are purchased in order to successfully implement the National Program for the Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030, as well as to increase the volume of freight traffic in the country.
Founded in 1970, Airbus headquartered in Blagnac, France, is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. The company produces passenger, cargo and military transport aircrafts.
