President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamed Al Thani on Wednesday, TDH news agency reports.

During telephone conversation, the President of Turkmenistan and the Emir of Qatar have stated high level of interstate dialog, which is successfully developed due to the mutual goodwill of the sides and outlined the existence of broad prospects for building up mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas.

In this regard, the high-level officials confirmed the intent of both countries to strengthen productive trade and economic partnership, to promote close business contacts in various spheres.

After exchanging views on current regional and global issues, the sides emphasized the commitment of Turkmenistan and Qatar to long partnership under authoritative international organizations.

The Leaders also focused on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the world, which has become a serious challenge for all mankind. In this regard, the sides expressed the need for further consolidation of efforts of the world community in the fight against the spread of the dangerous infection.
