The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $10.344 million, TDH news agency reported on Saturday.
Businesses from Afghanistan bought diesel fuel and petroleum coke and Uzbekistan-based businesses purchased polyethylene produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries for foreign currency.
In addition, companies based in Russia, China, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan purchased terry products, knitted fabrics, cotton fabrics and yarns for foreign currency.
Businesses from China, the UK and the UAE purchased cotton yarn for over 22.328 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 38 transactions last week.
