Private Sector in Turkmenistan’s Lebap Velayat Increases Output

The state allocated 113.8 hectares of land in the Lebap velayat for the construction of greenhouse complexes

Private businesses in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat produced over 1.5 million manats worth of beef, over 4.7 million manats worth of chicken meet, nearly 2 million manats worth of eggs, around 3.8 million manats worth of milk, more than 3.3 million manats worth of dairy products in the first 9 months of this year.

According to Türkmen Gündogary newspaper’s Tuesday issue, the private sector produced household and food products totaling 90.776 million manats during the period, which exceeds the last year's figure by 36.2 million manats.

The state program on import-substitution in Turkmenistan provides for the construction of 32 production enterprises in the region, of which 19 will be focused on agricultural manufacturing, and 13 - on industrial productions. 10 enterprises have already been commissioned in the velayat.

In addition, the state allocated 113.8 hectares of land in the Lebap velayat for the construction of greenhouse complexes. Crops are already being grown in 21 greenhouses.

This year, a plant for the production of ceramic decorative bricks with an annual capacity of 192 thousand tons of products will open in the velayat’s Halach etrap.
