The meeting participants considered proposals for the supply of Turkmen industrial products, textiles and carpets to Romania.
The management and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on Tuesday held online talks with their counterparts from the Romania’s Prahova County (Judet), the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) said in a press release.
Representatives of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, the UIET and large companies of the two countries also took part in the negotiations.
During the negotiations, the UIET made a presentation on the export potential of its members. Particularly, representatives of Meno Logistics and Akylly Tilsimat companies presented the opportunities in the transport and logistics sector and in the field of IT technologies.
In turn, a number of large Romanian companies presented their economic and export potential in the oil and gas sector, in the fields of engineering and supply of their products abroad.
The meeting participants also considered proposals for the supply of Turkmen industrial products, textiles and carpets to Romania.
The Romanian side stressed its interest in an active dialogue with Turkmenistan and in order to build up a mutually beneficial partnership invited its Turkmen counterparts to visit Romania and take part in a joint business forum after the lifting of COVID-19 related restrictions.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania Annamammet Annayev also attended the negotiations.
