Growth in oil and gas production: 3D seismic exploration and new productive horizons
A group of scientists from the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Concern "Türkmengaz" headed by the leading researcher of the Department of Geophysics, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Tagankuli Ilamanov studied the prospects for increasing oil production in the fields of South-West Turkmenistan and proposed new directions for prospecting and exploration.
The object of detailed studies, in their opinion, should be the part of the red-colored sediments not uncovered by drilling, interstructural depressions and sub-red Miocene and Mesozoic sediments in the already existing fields of Primorye. I talk with the leading specialist of the branch institute Tagankuli Ilamanov about the prospects that new research opens up.
