Serdar Berdimuhamedov Participates in Celebration of Turkmen Horse National Holiday

President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, took part in the main celebratory events organized for the Turkmen Horse National Holiday at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media on Sunday.

Among those present at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex were government members, the Chairman of Mejlis, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, the Chairman of the State Committee for the Development of the Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, mayors of Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, heads and staff of accredited diplomatic missions and international organizations in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the media.

The celebration of the Turkmen Horse National Holiday was also attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, who arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit.

Overall, seven races were held at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex at various distances, with dozens of horses showcasing their best qualities. Musical performances by singers were organized during the festive races.

After awarding the winners of the marathon and competitions, valuable gifts, substantial cash prizes, and diplomas, which were drawn at the current races, were presented. The leader of the final race received a substantial cash prize and the President of Turkmenistan's Cup.

On Saturday, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, festivities were held at the Aba Annayev International Equestrian Academy in honor of the Turkmen Horse National Holiday. A ceremony was held to award the winners of the International Ýylyň iň owadan ahalteke bedewi competition and a thematic competition among representatives of creative professions.

During the celebration of the widely celebrated Turkmen Horse National Holiday, Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented keys to new apartments in modern residential buildings, constructed in the new "smart" city and designed for 120 families, to the faculty of the Aba Annayev International Equestrian Academy, scientists of the Equestrian Science and Production Center, as well as horse breeders from the city of Arkadag.
