Serdar Berdimuhamedov Congratulates Turkmen People on New Year's Occasion
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people on the New Year - 2024, the official Turkmen media reported on Sunday.
Highlighting that the next year is the year of Fish according to the Eastern calendar, the Head of State emphasised that the passing year is significant in the modern history of independent, neutral Turkmenistan through large-scale reforms.
"2024 will be filled with significant events on the 300th anniversary of the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy. We will continue the state policy aimed at protection, in-depth scientific study and popularisation of the Turkmen people's original traditions and historical and cultural heritage," Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
The President of Turkmenistan added that to improve further the welfare and social conditions of the population, wages, pensions, state allowances, and scholarships for students and trainees will be increased by 10 percent starting from January 1 of the New Year.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the Turkmen people new advances, family well-being and prosperity.
