Compared to 2021, the province in 2022 recorded 45.4 percent growth in cotton fabric production and 18.9 percent growth in cotton yarn production.
The total amount of industrial products produced in Turkmenistan’s eastern province of Lebap in 2022 amounted to more than 23.39 billion manats, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.
Of the total, products worth nearly 7.5 billion manats were produced by state enterprises. The producers in Turkmenabat accounted for more than 5.85 billion manats of products produced in large- and mid-size state enterprises. This indicator is 26.3 percent more compared to the same period last year.
Compared to 2021, the province in 2022 recorded 47.3 percent growth in electricity production, 45.4 percent growth in cotton fabric production, 18.9 percent growth in cotton yarn production and 12.3 percent growth in cement production.
According to the data, in 2022, more than 3.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced in the province. Some of the electricity generated in the province is exported to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
