Turkmen Poultry Complex Nurly Meýdan to Double Its Egg Production

Nurly Meýdan currently breeds around 400 thousand broiler chickens for meat production.

Nurly Meýdan private enterprise, a leading supplier of chicken meat and eggs in Turkmenistan, produces around 100 thousand eggs a day is aiming to double its production in the near future.

The company located in Bereket district of Turkmenistan’s western province Balkan has recently established work on breeding about 250 thousand egg-laying chickens, the country’s Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

Nurly Meýdan currently breeds around 400 thousand broiler chickens for meat production. The company produces 10-14 tons of chicken meat daily.

Nurly Meýdan Director Nuryagdy Yagmyrov told Rysgal newspaper that "there are 2 incubators in the poultry farm complex, their annual capacity allows getting 12 chickens for egg production and 2 million chickens for poultry meat production respectively."

In addition, the company also breeds about 300 cattle and about 1,000 sheep and goats for meat production. The basis of the fodder base is corn grown on the farm fields, from which special silage is prepared.

The greenhouse of Nurly Meýdan also grows dozens of types of flowers. The company also works to expand its floriculture activities.
