Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of improving the documents regulating the sphere of road construction.
New drafts of some normative legal acts on definition of estimated standards and tariffs for construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of highways, their cost as well as prices for cargo transportation by road transport are expected to be adopted in Turkmenistan.
This was reported by Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, the Deputy Chairman of Government in charge of economic and financial issues, to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Saturday.
The Vice-Premier’s briefing focused on the results of the analysis on the issue of proper implementation of road construction works and their reliable financing by the State Agency for Road Construction Management. As a result of monitoring by economic, financial and banking institutions a number of proposals were submitted for consideration of the President of Turkmenistan, the country’s official media reports.
At the same time, proposals were made regarding the financing of the Agency's planned activities in the future.
Following the report, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of improving the documents regulating the sphere of road construction. Stressing the need for a clear solution to the issues associated with funding of work in this area, the Turkmen President instructed the Vice-Premier to explore this issue in more detail together with the relevant agencies.
The cabinet meeting discussed priority issues of state affairs.
