Turkmen President Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony of New Road Bridge
The groundbreaking ceremony of a new road bridge across the Garabogazgol bay
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on vacation, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony of a new road bridge across the Garabogazgol bay on Monday.
The bridge is located along the highway Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Kazakhstan border, the countries official media reports.
The construction of a two-lane road bridge across the bay will be carried out by the Ukrainian construction company Altkom. It will also build the roads leading to the bridge.
The road bridge and its connecting roadswill be ready for operation in June 2024.
