A meeting in the video conference format with the Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Turkmenistan Natalia Tamirisa took place at the UN Office in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the regional and global economic issues.
The sides considered the current level of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the IMF, assessed the development of macroeconomic situation in the world and exchanged views on the future of bilateral cooperation.
The Turkmen side was led by the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. The representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Central Bank also took part in the session.
IMF mission led by Natalia Tamirisa has visited Ashgabat on November 5-12 last year.
Turkmenistan became a member of the IMF on September 22, 1992.
