The UIET-member businesses also signed 51 agreements on mutual domestic trade with a total value of more than 36.17 million manats.
Turkmen businesses concluded 63 contracts with a total value of $145.4 million during the exhibition dedicated to the 14th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), which kicked off at the expocenter of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat on Tuesday.
The information on concluded contracts was provided during the conference held in the afternoon at the UIET headquarters.
Of these deals, 16 are export contracts worth nearly $3.25 million and 47 are import contracts worth over $142.15 million.
During the exhibition, the UIET-member businesses also signed 51 agreements on mutual domestic trade with a total value of more than 36.17 million manats. They mainly deal with trade of different kinds of food products and means used in production.
The conference discussed achievements of Turkmen businesses and new tasks related to introduction of innovative technologies, digital system, implementation of measures on private sector development defined in the National Program of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052.
Established in 2008, the UIET is a public organization, which aims to support small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan, to promote the development of the private sector of the national economy and the formation of a modern enterprise infrastructure.
