Private businesses in Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap have exported industrial goods worth $731 thousand to foreign countries in the first two months of 2022.
The main exported products are isogam, liquid bituminous mastic, batteries and liquid industrial mixture and the export destinations are Uzbekistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates and China, the official Turkmen media reported on Wednesday.
Liquid bituminous mastic became the major exported product. Mizemez Gadam company shipped 1,352 tons of mastic for $323,200 to foreign countries.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting last week outlined among the main tasks of the state the development of provinces, attraction of investments, introduction of advanced technologies and techniques, development of enterprises to produce import-substituting products, expansion of services and creation of new jobs.
