Turkmenistan’s Seydi Refinery Produces Over 135 Thousand Tons of Gasoline

The Seydi Oil Refinery is designed to process 6 million tons of oil annually.

Seydi Oil Refinery in Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap has produced around 135.2 thousand tons of gasoline of different brands since the beginning of 2021. The production growth rate compared to the same period last year amounted to 158.9%.

The refinery also increased its production of diesel fuel, heavy vacuum gas oil and road bitumen, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.

Since the beginning of this year, the plant produced 77.6 thousand tons of diesel fuel, more than 22.8 thousand tons of heavy vacuum gas oil and 19.5 thousand tons of road bitumen.

During the period, the refinery exceeded its production plans for most items, according to the report.

The Seydi Oil Refinery is designed to process 6 million tons of oil annually. In 2015, a unit for the production of road bitumen with an annual capacity of 37.2 thousand tons was commissioned at the refinery.

In May 2017, The refinery also launched a catalytic reforming unit, with an annual production capacity of 500 thousand tons of high-octane gasoline.
