A Turkmen-Austrian business forum organized jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber was held in Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat on Tuesday, the official Turkmen media reports.
The forum was attended by representatives of a number of Turkmen ministries and departments, member-businesses of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan as well as heads and representatives of government agencies and companies of Austria, specializing in mechanical engineering, education, digital systems and software.
The meeting focused on ways to bring relations in different sectors of the economy and investment, high technology, industry, energy, agriculture and transport to a new level, as well as opportunities to expand trade turnover and identified specific plans for joint work.
Bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries and departments, private companies and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Austria were held as part of the Turkmen-Austrian business forum.
Within the framework of the forum, agreements were signed between confectionary enterprise Balam and Akras Flavours GmbH, as well as between Turkmen supermarket chain Halk Market and Austrian-Turkmen Society.
The 11th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission will be held on November 30.
