Over the past eight months, the retail turnover in Turkmenistan increased by 17%.
The volume of total production in Turkmenistan in January-August of this year increased by 5.5% compared to the same period last year, the Vice-Premier Serdar Berdimuhamedov briefed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday.
Over the past eight months, the retail turnover increased by 17%, and the foreign trade turnover increased by 9%, the Vice-Premier told in his report, adding that the revenue part of the State budget was executed at 114.5%, and the expenditure part – 97.5%, the country’s official media reports.
According to the Vice-Premier, the average monthly wages of employees of large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 10.5% compared to the same period last year.
As part of the implementation of the new edition of the national rural development program, construction of 102 social facilities, 35 water treatment facilities, 129.1 thousand square meters of housing, and different engineering systems was carried out. In total, nearly 1.45 billion manats of capital investments were spent on the implementation of the program during the period, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
During his report, the Vice-Premier said the Supreme Control Chamber of the country exercises strict control over the timely completion of the construction of facilities, the commissioning dates of which are determined by the relevant Presidential Resolution dated July 30, 2021. The quality of construction works is also under constant control, the Vice-Premier added.
As of September 6 of this year, more than 50 large industrial and social facilities were commissioned in the country. This month, the Turkmen capital will see commissioning of four buildings and a number of facilities, including a modern park and underground passages in the northeastern part of A. Niyazov Avenue and Hoja Ahmet Yasavi Street, the State Tribune complex, and the complex of buildings consisting of shopping and entertainment center, business center and modern residential buildings along Tehran Street.
Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to prepare proposals on the state budget of the country and submit them for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers. The Turkmen Leader said the draft of the main financial plan should provide for an increase in wages, pensions and state benefits by an average of 10%.
