Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, at which the priorities of state policy and drafts of a number of documents were considered.

Turning to the issues on the agenda, the head of Turkmenistan gave the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Berdimuhamedov, who reported on the results of the analysis of the state of affairs on the construction of 32 4-storey apartment buildings 59 residential buildings and 170 cottages being built along the road leading to the International Airport of the city of Turkmenabat Lebap velayat.

Then the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparation of the draft Resolution on the financial support of projects of small and medium-sized businesses for the creation of national software products and the production of equipment, as well as for the purchase and commissioning.

During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers presented for consideration by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a draft Order on Turkmenistan's membership in the Islamic Corporation for Trade Finance of the Islamic Development Bank.

Having approved and signed the submitted draft order, the leader of the nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent it to the Deputy Prime Minister for the digital system, addressing a number of specific instructions.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh.Abdrakhmanov reported on the state of affairs in certain sectors of the oil and gas complex and the work carried out by the State Concern "Türkmengaz" to implement projects in the field of natural gas processing.

It was reported that negotiations are underway with the Danish company Haldor Topsoe, which is the largest licensor of technologies used in the gas chemical industry, regarding the construction in our country of a small gas chemical plant for the production of ammonia and methanol from natural gas.

To prepare a feasibility study for this project, designed to expand the range of import-substituting products and increase the country's export potential, a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the parties has been prepared.

Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiev reported on the preparation of the velayats for sowing wheat for next year's harvest.

Currently, in the fields, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, work is being carried out to level the land, water charging and leaching irrigation, as well as the preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment for sowing wheat. This campaign is planned to involve 1,545 seeders and tractors. To ensure their uninterrupted operation, specialized repair teams are being created in the etraps.

The Vice Prime Minister appealed to the President of Turkmenistan with a request to bless the beginning of sowing winter crops, taking into account the soil and climatic conditions of the velayats, as well as holding practical seminars with the participation of experienced farmers, specialists, scientists and machine operators.

Ahead of the farmers and all agricultural workers is a very important and responsible season - the sowing of wheat, the timely, high-quality and organized holding of which will allow to obtain high grain yields. Speaking about this, the head of state gave his blessing to start sowing in the velayats on September 3.

“Let every grain sprout a hundredfold, courageous farmers!” Said the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Purchekov reported on preparations for events in honor of the upcoming 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

The khyakimlik of the city of Ashgabat, together with the relevant services, is working to improve the territory of the capital, in particular, places for holding festive celebrations, as well as to improve the condition of streets and highways, improve the territory adjacent to houses and buildings, modernize power grids, observe the established order and sanitary requirements.

Continuing the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparations for the commissioning of a gas turbine power plant in the Chardzhev etrap of the Lebap velayat, as well as measures taken to reconstruct the country's highways.

Having listened to the report, the head of state noted the importance of careful organization of the upcoming anniversary celebrations and addressed specific instructions to the relevant leaders to hold the opening ceremony of the above-named power plant, which is the fruit of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation, at a high level.

Focusing on the need to improve the operational state of the country's highways and the streets of Ashgabat and expressing a number of critical comments on this, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that it is necessary to use the production capabilities of domestic asphalt plants at full capacity and repair road equipment.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to urgently submit proposals for the creation of an appropriate structure.

General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the work on approving the procedure for the provision of spacecraft transponders.

Noting that the introduction of the latest technologies for data transmission, broadband communication services and multimedia services, an increase in the transit telecommunication potential of the country, its role as an international hub for providing significant information flows in various directions, the leader of the nation instructed the head of the Agency to study this issue in detail and undertake specific steps.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Gylydzhov reported on the ongoing work to transform some enterprises of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations into joint-stock companies.

In order to continue activities in this direction, the state trade enterprises "Merw" and "Lebap", located respectively in the cities of Mary and Turkmenabat, are planned to be transformed into open joint stock companies.

Continuing the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparation of the draft Resolution “On the establishment of the Open Joint Stock Company“ Türkmendokma ”.

Having signed the Decree, the head of Turkmenistan sent it to the Deputy Prime Minister on the digital system, instructing to keep under control the implementation of all the tasks specified in the document.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammedova reported on preparations for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, as well as on the Procedure for the main celebrations and openings of social and cultural facilities scheduled for September this year.

On September 1, Ashgabat and the whole country will host celebrations in honor of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. A number of new general education schools will also be commissioned.

Next month, it is planned to open objects for various purposes, including modern residential complexes.

On September 27, the capital and velayats will host celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland. In honor of the anniversary date, a festive parade, a concert of masters of the arts and fireworks will be given in Ashgabat. The next day, it is planned to organize races at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex.

The traditional month "Road safety is the peace of mind of our lives" is also planned for September.

Having approved the presented Procedure for the main celebrations and openings of social and cultural facilities scheduled for September, the head of state instructed to ensure a high organizational level of all events in which the achievements and successes of the era of power and happiness, its high patriotic spirit should be adequately reflected.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Toylyev reported on the preparations for the start of the new academic year.

On the first day of the 2021-2022 academic year, celebrated as the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, festive events are planned in all educational schools of the country. Pupils of the first grade will be presented with computers on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

Summing up the results of the meeting held on the digital system, the leader of the nation emphasized that today issues of state life were considered and a number of documents were adopted aimed at the development of industries.

Concluding the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan wished its participants great success in their work for the further prosperity of the sovereign Motherland.
