Balkanwelaýatazyk Production Association produced 1,362 tons of cottonseed oil in January-July period of this year.
Balkanwelaýatazyk Production Association, located in the city of Serdar of Turkmenistan’s western velayat of Balkan has processed 7,224 tons of cotton seeds and produced 1,362 tons of cottonseed oil during the first seven months of this year, the country’s official media reported on Saturday.
During this period, Balkanwelaýatazyk association, which operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, produced 223 tons of meat and 279 tons of dairy products. These figures are significantly higher than in the same period last year, according to the report.
In January-July period of this year, the association also produced than 6,800 tons of feed from agricultural waste of cotton seeds.
Last year, Turkmen cotton farmers fulfilled the state order, harvesting 1.25 million tons of raw cotton.
