The signed documents include agreements for the supply of agricultural and food products, different polymer products, and for the provision of transport services.
Turkmen businesses, within the framework of the Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries, concluded 74 export-import contracts and cooperation agreements for a total amount of about $131.5 million with companies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The signed documents include agreements for the supply of agricultural and food products, plastic pipes, different polymer products, as well as for the provision of transport services, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.
Within the framework of the forum, the participants signed 11 interdepartmental documents, confirming the intention of individual parties to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of key areas, including in the fields of transport, international container and multimodal cargo transportation, industry, oil and gas and electricity spheres.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan also organized exchange trades within the framework of the forum. The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions was approximately $110 million, and in national currency – 3.6 million manats.
Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries took place last Friday at the Avaza Congress Center in Turkmenistan’s western velayat of Balkan, on the sidelines of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. Exhibition of national products of the countries of Central Asia and the international festival of national cousins of the countries of the region was also held at on the sidelines of the Consultative Meeting last Friday.
