Decorative Ceramics Factory to Appear in Turkmenistan’s Baherden

Kaolin is widely used as a raw material in the production of decorative ceramic tiles and faience products.

Work is underway to build a factory for the production of decorative ceramic tiles and faience products in Baherden etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat.

During an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Vice-Premier Charymyrat Purchekov reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the measures to establish the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, including on the construction of the factory. the country's official media reports.

The Vice Premier noted that kaolin is widely used as a raw material in the production of decorative ceramic tiles and faience products.

Taking into account the design capacity of the kaolin workshop of the Balkan Quarry Management, Purchekov presented a proposal to reconstruct this workshop at the expense of capital investments from Derýaplastik Economic Society, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and create on its basis an open joint stock company with Derýaplastik as a shareholder.

The Vice-Premier stressed that the change in the organizational and legal status and the reconstruction of the enterprise will increase its capacity, create new jobs, save expenditures on the import of the necessary raw materials from foreign countries.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of steadily building up the construction industry's potential and increasing the production of high-quality building materials that are in high demand both in the country and abroad, and gave a number of specific instructions to the Vice-Premier.
