Turkmenistan to Hold Exporters’ Forum

Vice-Premier Chary Gylyjov reported on activities to consistently strengthen the position of domestic products in world markets.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat will host a forum of exporters to discuss the country's export opportunities.

During the online meeting of Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Vice-Premier Chary Gylyjov reported to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the state of affairs in the areas under his supervision, the implementation of the program to further increase the country's export potential and activities to consistently strengthen the position of domestic products in world markets, the country's official media reports.

The Vice-Premier presented to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration a proposal to hold an exporters’ forum at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan to discuss the country's export opportunities and challenges in this area in order to implement the Foreign Trade Strategy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2030, approved by the Resolution of the Head of State.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of increasing the competitiveness of domestic goods, modernizing the system of export operations in accordance with modern requirements and strengthening state support for exporters.

Improving work in this direction on the basis of the introduction of advanced world experience and modern scientific achievements will ensure the strengthening of the position of export-oriented products produced in the country in world markets, the Head of State emphasized. Having approved the submitted proposal, the Turkmen President addressed specific instructions to the Vice-Premier on organization of the forum.
