Within the framework of this project, 200 containers will be transported between Georgia and Uzbekistan.
Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint-Stock Company facilitates transportation of container block train from the Georgian port of Poti to the Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent, TULM told Business Turkmenistan on Monday.
Besides TULM, other railway operators of the Poti – Tashkent train are Georgia’s GR Logistics and Terminals, Azerbaijan’s ADY Container and Uzbekistan’s Uzbekzheldorekspeditsiya (Uzbek Railway Expedition).
The block train consists of 58 units 40-foot long containers, loaded with aluminum-based industrial products produced in the European Union.
Upon arrival at the Port of Baku, the containers will be shipped to the port of Turkmenbashi by a feeder ship. The container train will then be transported from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan through rail.
Within the framework of this project, 200 containers will be transported between Georgia and Uzbekistan.
TULM OJSC was established in July 2018. The company was created in order to effectively use the possibilities of international transport corridors passing through Turkmenistan, to help increase the volume of transit goods, and to develop logistics solutions for the delivery of transit, import-export cargo from the consignor to the consignee.
