The growth rate of the work performed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry amounted to 101%.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday instructed the Vice-Premier Chary Gylyjov and the heads of the country’s trade complex to monitor the activities of enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, instructing to develop further measures to support small, medium and large businesses.
The Head of State stressed that today the main task is to ensure the stable operation of Turkmenistan’s trading system, adding that the state of affairs in this area should be assessed on a daily basis, the country’s official media reports.
In his report, the Vice Prime Minister Chary Gylyjov noted that the growth rate of the work performed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry amounted to 101%.
The growth rate of agricultural and food production by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET) amounted to 139.7%, and the industrial production – 125.3%, according to the Vice-Premier.
The Turkmen President gave specific instructions to the government officials to take additional support measures to create sufficient supplies of stocks of certain products, especially food.
