Turkmenistan’s Berk Önüm Produces Around 30 Thousand Sticky Tapes

In the future, Berk Önüm plans to produce acrylic adhesive for scotch tape.

Berk Önüm Individual Enterprise, located in the Vekilbazar etrap of Turkmenistan’s Mary velayat, produced around 30 thousand polyethylene sticky tapes.

In an interview with Business Turkmenistan at an exhibition dedicated to the 13th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UTPT), the Director of Berk Önüm Palvan Babayev said the company produces stationery and packaging tapes, as well as tapes with company logo.

The width of the tapes ranges from 12 millimeters to 500 millimeters and their length ranges from 5 meters to 400 meters, Palvan Babayev continued, the tape’s thickness is 50 microns.

The enterprise equipped with the modern Chinese machinery has the capacity to produce 62.4 thousand sticky tapes annually. The company purchases 60% of the raw materials used in production from the local market.

In the future, Berk Önüm plans to produce acrylic adhesive for scotch tape, double its production capacity, and offer consumers products at a reduced price. The company also aims to export its products to Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Founded in December 2014, Berk Önüm IE currently employs more than 15 specialists. The company also produces oil and air filters for cars.
