Turkmenabat Chemical Plant Produces Over 25,000 Tons of Phosphate Fertilizers

The plant also produced about 15 thousand tons of sulfuric acid in the first two months of this year.

Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov produced more than 25 thousand tons of phosphate fertilizers in the first two months of this year, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.

The plant, located in Turkmenabat city in Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap, also produced about 15 thousand tons of sulfuric acid over the period. The plant produces sulfuric acid on request.

The enterprise also produces bleach in its branch in Koytendag. In January-February of this year, the branch produced more than 90 tons of bleach. The bleach is mainly used to decontaminate land and buildings.

Turkmenabat Chemical Plant also carries out the joint production of car batteries with the Kökçi Economic Society. The produced car batteries are presently exported to foreign countries.

The chemical plant employs over 1400 specialists.

During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on January 14 of this year, the Vice-Premier Shamuhammet Durdyliyev reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the plans to establish the production line of finely ground sulfur with an annual capacity of at least 20 thousand tons at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.
